Shadows of War
Iraq Baghdad 2003
The consequences of the American invasion in Iraq were proved to be especially tough for its citizens. Millions of homeless people had been forced to look for temporary shelter in abandoned settlements, half-destroyed buildings, and on the street. Everywhere the same living conditions. There weren’t sufficient provisions due to lack of food, no potable water, no electricity, no basic hygiene and no medical treatment.
All the expected results of a war, such as malnutrition, epidemics and other diseases, as well as numerous socio – psychological consequences, had threatened the Iraqi people.
